Torch Technologies announced today that on Sept. 24, 2008, the company was awarded a five-year, $188,125,216 Task Order as a Direct Award through the Aviation & Missile Solutions, LLC (AMS) AMCOM EXPRESS BPA to support the U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command (RDECOM) Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) System Simulation and Development Directorate (SSDD).
AMRDEC’s ability to support strategic systems test and analysis of MDA, Army, Navy and Air Force systems is state-of-the-art. It possesses world-class facilities, labs, tools, models, simulations and a dedicated staff focused on providing strategic systems modeling and simulation support.
The Torch Technologies team seeks to support this mission area and is honored to be given this opportunity through the AMS BPA to continue its long and successful partnership. The team currently consists of 12 other subcontractors that actively support government agencies in strategic systems-related work.
“Each Torch employee and team member should be proud to be awarded this privilege,” Torch COO Scott Parker said. Parker noted that recent AMCOM EXPRESS Direct Award wins through AMS totaled over $440 million.
