As a result of our growth, Torch is establishing a new Corporate Development Organization to enhance our ability to respond to customer requirements. Clay Hagan has been promoted to Senior Vice President and will assume leadership responsibility of this organization.
The newly formed Corporate Development organization will have primary responsibility for developing out-year business development strategies and responding to immediate corporate proposal requirements. Corporate Development activities will also include developing marketing materials, overseeing external marketing events such as tradeshows, administering the proposal qualification processes, conducting market surveys, developing/maintaining capabilities and performance databases, as well as maintaining the corporate proposal resume tool and maintaining the corporate new business pipeline tool.
Clay’s assumption of the Corporate Development role required Torch to find the right person to assume the role of EXPRESS Program Manager. Charles Chitwood has assumed the role of EXPRESS PM effective immediately. Prior to joining Torch, Charles was Vice-President and General Manager of Schafer Corporation’s System Engineering and Integration Division, leading efforts in Missile Defense, Future Army Systems, NASA, several product lines and work with major aerospace contractors. He served as Deputy Director of NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center from 2004-2007 and played key roles in the oversight and implementation of strategic center initiatives and active programs. Charles brings over 30 years of management and program management experience into the EXPRESS PM role.
