We have established an accredited standalone lab that is utilized to generate high fidelity Monte-Carlo performance data for the GBI component of GMD in support of the GBI program office.

Torch employees define scenarios and simulation configurations to generate timely responses to performance questions from the program office, the analysis community and the OTA.

Spotlight: Javelin

Torch personnel have supported the Javelin program over its entire lifecycle, from product conception through fielding and software / hardware improvements.

Recently, Torch conducted the Javelin LITEII software performance assessment and flight validation that led to new improved software being fielded. Utilizing the HPC that Torch developed, we conducted over one million simulation runs testing the systems performance over the entire operational spectrum. Simulation analysis was conducted for the Javelin Block I hardware upgrades providing Javelin improved system performance against long range targets.

Modeling and Simulation: Key Accomplisments

 

Revalidation and Accreditation of missile simulations for use in system performance analyses and fielding.
Enhanced high resolution scene generation capabilities to portray real-world, measured target engagements for targets and terrain models, including developed targed articulation, terrain and target interactions, vegetation motion, and gun barrel heating.
Developed real-time high fidelity complex control actuator model to support Hardware-in-the-Loop performance simulation.
